A register starts as a template — its structure. Only the System Admin creates it: you define the Details section (filled once per log) and the Table section (repeating rows), choose the field types, then publish it Live so Inspectors and Project Admins can fill it.
Create the template. In the Register module, create a new template and name it — e.g. Concrete Pour Register. It is saved as Draft.

- Nomenclature field: the filler navigates the project hierarchy (e.g. Tower A → Level 3 → Column) and types the Variable in free text (e.g. "C-5 Lift 2"). The L0 Project Code is auto-filled. - EQC Link field: links the log to one or more inspection EQCs, which open directly from the register.

Validate & publish to Live. Review all field names, types, and calculation formulas, then publish. The register becomes Live and available to fill.
Archive when no longer needed. Archiving stops new logs; historical logs stay for view/export. A register cannot return to Live once archived.
Only the System Admin. Project Admins cannot create or edit templates.
You can add or remove fields, but you cannot change a field's type, label, or formula once it's Live — so plan carefully before publishing.

Yes. In a Register template, each Numeric field has an advanced Allow Negative Number setting, ON by default. Turn it OFF so the field accepts only zero and positive numbers — decimals are still allowed and 0 is always allowed. Only a System Admin can set it; it works on both the Detail and Table parts of the register. You can change it on a live register template — it does not re-check data already saved, and applies only to new entries. While filling the register, a blocked negative value shows an instant message under the cell to fix before saving.
Yes. In a Register template, each Date field and each Time field has an advanced setting to auto-fill the current date/time when the register is filled — it is OFF by default. When turned on, the field is stamped automatically, but the value stays editable if you need to correct it. The stamp uses server time shown in the project's time zone, so everyone on the project gets one consistent, trustworthy time. Only a System Admin sets it (Date and Time can be turned on independently); it works on both the Detail and Table parts of the register, on a live template, applying only to new entries/rows.
