Two per-stage settings — Skip stage and Validate stage — let the inspector move a stage forward quickly with a single button, while photo and remark stay mandatory. Each one is meant for a different situation.
Use Skip stage when the inspector was not available while that stage was being carried out, but the work was already done.
The inspector can skip the stage with a single button — they take a photo of the completed work and upload it (photo and remark are mandatory). This does not leave the stage stuck; work can move forward.
Gallery photos are allowed for Skip stage — because the inspector may not have been present to take a live photo.
Use Validate stage when the inspector is on site but the pace of work is very fast.
The inspector takes responsibility for the quality and fast-tracks the stage — passing or seeking approval with a single button, with a mandatory photo and remark.
Open the project's checklist and configure/edit the stage (see 2.5.11).
Turn on Skip stage and/or Validate stage for that stage.
Save. On the mobile app the inspector then sees the single-button option, with photo and remark required.
Can I use a gallery photo for Skip stage? Yes — gallery photos are allowed for Skip stage.
When should I use Validate stage? When the inspector is on site and work is moving fast — they take responsibility for the quality and fast-track passing or seeking approval in one tap.
Both are per-stage settings.
Skip stage allows gallery photos and keeps the stage from getting stuck when someone couldn't be present.
Validate stage is a fast-track — the inspector takes responsibility for the quality.
