When you add or configure a project you set its permission toggles. This article explains what each one does. Some are paid add-ons (marked). (To create/configure the project itself, see 2.5.8.)
Location and Authentication only take effect when they are on for both the project and the user.
1. Location — geofencing. When on for both the project and the user, the user must be within the project radius to conduct an inspection.
2. Authentication — when on for both the project and the user, the user must unlock their phone to conduct an inspection.
3. Instruction Types (paid add-on) — set organisation-wide Instruction (Issue) types & sub-types and use them in the project.
4. Cost of Quality (paid add-on) — record the cost of quality of an issue once it's closed. The System Admin adds the cost — Labour, Material, Machinery and Other — and can also record the issue's Root Cause and Corrective Action.
5. RFI — turn RFI on for the project; checklists can then use RFI stages.
6. EQC Fail → NCR Instruction (paid add-on) — lets a user raise an NCR-type issue from a checkpoint during inspection. The inspection can continue only once that issue is closed.
7. RFI Number Configurator (paid add-on) — available when RFI is on. It captures auto RFI numbers; on a Fail / Redo / Reject, a new RFI (Re-RFI) is generated for the same RFI stage. Configure the numbering to the project's requirement — set it up before the first RFI is raised.
What do Location and Authentication do? Location geofences the project — when on for the project and the user, the user must be within the radius to inspect. Authentication requires the user to unlock their phone to inspect.
What does Cost of Quality capture? The cost of an issue once closed — Labour, Material, Machinery, Other — plus the Root Cause and Corrective Action. Cost is added by the System Admin.
Paid add-ons: Instruction Types, Cost of Quality, EQC Fail → NCR Instruction, RFI Number Configurator.
Location and Authentication only take effect when on for both the project and the user.
