Geo-fencing ties inspections to the project's location. When you set up a project you set a map location and a radius — this draws a boundary (the project radius) around the site.
When the Location permission is on for both the project and the user, that user can only conduct an inspection while physically inside the project radius. If they're outside it, the app blocks the inspection (you may see "Location is far from project").
Stops inspections being faked from a different location.
Confirms the inspector was actually on site when the check was done.
The radius is set in metres when adding/editing the project (Site Details).
On Site approval also uses the radius — the approver must be within it to approve.
Geo-fencing only applies when Location is on for both the project and the user.
