What do "Completed On" and "Synced On" mean on the web inspection detail page?

On the web Inspection Detail page, Completed On is when the user clicked Pass/Fail or submitted for approval; Synced On is when the data reached the server. Photos show the actual capture time as a watermark. A noticeable Completed-vs-Synced gap usually means the inspection was done offline and synced later.

Answer

On the web Inspection Detail page, each inspection shows two timestamps:

  • Completed On — when the user clicked Pass / Fail or submitted the inspection for approval.

  • Synced On — when that data actually reached the server.

For photos, the exact time the photo was taken is shown as a watermark on the photo itself.

Why the two times can differ

If Completed On and Synced On show a noticeable gap, it's a likely sign that the inspection was done offline and synced later — once the device got a connection.

Good to know

  • Use the photo watermark to see the real capture time of each photo.

  • A large Completed-vs-Synced gap simply means offline work uploaded later — it's not a problem in itself.
