# Does a photo in digiQC have a timestamp?

Yes — every photo captured on digiQC through the camera is watermarked with the exact date and time it was taken, giving a time-proof record. This photo timestamp (capture time) is separate from the inspection's Completed On and Synced On times.

### Answer

**Yes.** Every photo **captured on digiQC through the camera** carries a **timestamp** — the **exact date and time the photo was taken** is stamped as a **watermark on the photo itself.** This makes each photo a **time-proof record** of when the check or observation was actually done.

### Photo timestamp vs inspection times

- **Photo timestamp** — the moment the **photo was captured using the digiQC camera** (shown as a **watermark** on the photo).

- **Completed On / Synced On** — these are for the **inspection**, not the photo: _Completed On_ = when the inspection was passed/failed or submitted; _Synced On_ = when it reached the server.

### Good to know

- The timestamp is the **real capture time**, stamped on the image.
