# 2.4.6 Verify or raise a query on register submissions

When a person preparing the log sends a register log for verification, the log appears once in your To Do, however many rounds — called submissions — are waiting on it. You open it once and decide each waiting submission. After each decision you are taken straight to the next one, so nothing is le

### 📖 Overview

When a person preparing the log sends a register log for verification, the log appears **once** in your **To Do**, however many rounds — called **submissions** — are waiting on it. You open it once and decide each waiting submission. After each decision you are taken straight to the next one, so nothing is left behind.

### 🧭 How to use

1. Open the email you received, or go to **To Do → Register**.

2. Click the **ⓘ** in the Status cell to see what is waiting on that log.

3. Open the log. Every submission waiting for you has its own **Verify** and **Raise Query** buttons.

4. Click **Verify** to verify it, or Raise Query to return it — a reason is required.

5. You are taken to the next waiting submission. When there are none left you will see "All submissions on this log have been decided."

### ❓ FAQ

#### 1\. Two rounds of the same log are waiting — why do I only see one row?

The list always shows one row per log. Click the **ⓘ** to see how many submissions are waiting and where each has reached.

#### 2\. Can I verify all the waiting submissions in one click?

No. Each submission is decided on its own, with its own Verify and Raise Query buttons.

#### 3\. What happens after I decide one submission?

You stay on the log and are taken to the next submission waiting for you, with a line telling you how many are left. This is so no round is missed.

#### 4\. Can I decide them in a different order?

Yes. Scroll to any waiting submission and act on it. The hand-off is there to help, not to force an order.

#### 5\. Can I verify a later submission before an earlier one?

Yes, when your register asks **all levels at once**. Your decision on one has no effect on the other.

#### 6\. Why are there no buttons on some submissions?

They are not waiting for you — already decided by you (still pending other levels), with Query raised, or with another level. They are shown for context. A submission that is **fully verified** does not appear on this screen at all any more — see the next question.

#### 7\. Where did a fully verified submission go?

It leaves this screen the moment every level has verified it. Click **View Log**, top-right — it is always available — to see it, along with everything else on the log.

#### 8\. What does "all levels asked at the same time" mean for me?

On a register that asks all levels at once, you and the other levels are emailed together. The submission is verified only when every level has verified.

#### 9\. I verified, but the submission is still pending — why?

Another level has not verified yet. Your verification is recorded — the submission's Level summary line shows your name against the level you verified, and "Verification Pending" against the ones still to come.

#### 10\. Someone raised a query after I had already verified — do I have to verify again?

Yes. When entries are revised, verifications given on the old entries no longer stand. You will get an email straight away, but the submission itself disappears from your screen while it's with the person preparing the log — you'll see it again, with a banner naming who raised the query, when, and why, once it's corrected and resent.

#### 11\. Where did my earlier verification go?

Nowhere. It stays in the Verification Detail marked **Verified (superseded)**, with your name and the original time.

#### 12\. I raised a query by mistake — can I undo it?

No. Once you confirm, the decision is final. Wait for the person preparing the log to send it again, then verify.

#### 13\. Why can't I submit my Raise Query?

A reason is required. You will see "Enter a reason so the submission can be corrected."

#### 14\. Will the person I raised the query with know why?

Yes. They get an email with your reason, and the same reason is shown on the submission and in the Verification Detail.

#### 15\. Do I get an email when someone else's level verifies?

No. You are emailed when a submission reaches **your** level, and when a submission you had acted on has a query raised. The person preparing the log is emailed once, when all levels have verified.

#### 16\. Can I edit the entries of the person preparing the log?

No. You can Verify, Raise Query or comment.

#### 17\. What happens if I only comment?

Nothing changes state — the submission stays with you and the person preparing the log can see your comment. You can comment on any submission shown on this screen, whether or not it is currently your turn — it isn't limited to submissions waiting for you.

#### 18\. Why can't I add a comment on the Detail section any more?

Comments on the Detail section are open only while **Submission 1** has not yet been verified. Once Submission 1 is verified, commenting on the Detail section closes for good, and editing closes with it — you'll see "Details are locked after Submission 1 is verified." Comments you already added stay visible.

#### 19\. My colleague on the same level already verified — what do I see?

"Submission 2 was verified by Ravi Menon on 12/04/2026, 3:14 pm." Any one verifier of a level can act for the whole level.

#### 20\. Why don't I see a submission that hasn't reached my level yet?

It only shows up once it's genuinely relevant to you — either it's your turn, or you've already acted on it. Before that, there's nothing to see, and nothing in your To Do either. You'll be emailed the moment it's ready for you.

#### 21\. Where did the Total and Average rows go?

They have been removed from the verification screen on purpose, because they cover the whole log rather than the submission you are judging. You will still find them on the log itself and in the PDF report.

#### 22\. My To Do is empty — is that right?

Yes, it means nothing is waiting for you. You will be emailed when a submission is sent to your level.

#### 23\. I clicked the link in my email and the Verify button is gone — why?

A query was raised on the submission and it is being corrected — whether or not you had already acted on it, it's no longer visible on the review screen while it's with the person preparing the log. You will see a message naming who raised the query, their level and the time. You will be emailed again when the corrected submission is sent. Nothing is wrong and nothing was lost.

#### 24\. A submission I was just looking at has disappeared — where did it go?

Someone raised a query on it. Once that happens, it's off the review screen for **every** verifier — including anyone who had already verified it — until the person preparing the log corrects and resends it. You'll be emailed when that happens.

#### 25\. I verified, and now I am asked to pick verifiers — why?

Your register asks levels **one after another**, so the submission goes to the next level and you choose who at that level is emailed. Everyone is pre-ticked, so you can just press Send for Verification. On the final level there is nobody next, so you are not asked.

#### 26\. I verified and was not asked to pick anyone — is that a bug?

No. On a register that asks all levels at once, every level was already chosen by the person who sent the submission, so there is nothing left to pick.

#### 27\. I did not get an email but the log is in my To Do — why?

The person sending chose not to email you, but you are still a verifier on that level, so you can open it and act as normal.

### ⚠️ Good to know

- A Verify or a Raise Query cannot be undone.

- **A submission with Query raised disappears from every verifier's screen**, not just yours — even someone who had already verified it loses sight of it until it's corrected and resent.

- Raising a query on a submission does not reopen the Detail section — it only opens while Submission 1 is not yet verified, regardless of what happens on any other submission.

- Raising a query on one submission has no effect on any other submission.

- Register reaches you by **email only** — there is no in-app notification to watch.
