From the Setup tab → Teams, the System Admin creates organisation-level teams. A team has a Name and a Type / Scope — e.g. CONTRACTOR, CLIENT, CONSULTANT, VENDOR — and holds a set of team users.
You can add a team manually (with its users) or import many teams and users at once via CSV. A user can belong to multiple teams, and — like all org-level data — teams can be imported into any project.
Teams can also appear here because they were added inside a project (see Teams added from a project below).
Open the Setup tab → Teams tab.
Click + Add on the left team panel.
Enter the Team name and select the Type / Scope from the drop-down → click Add.
Now add the team's users: click + Add on the right panel → enter the user's contact details (the email ID is non-mandatory here) → Add. You'll see "User created successfully."
Repeat to add more users to the team.
Open Setup → Team → click Import (the downward-arrow button).
Click Sample file → open the downloaded `team-user-csv-sample`.
Fill in Team name, Team type, User name, User email, User phone (follow the guidelines below).
Save As a `.csv` file → back in digiQC → Select File → Start Upload → you'll get a confirmation.
A team can also be added directly inside a project — usually by the Project Admin, when the team or user they need isn't yet set up at organisation level. That team then automatically appears here at the organisation level, marked with a project-based team symbol.
Hover over the symbol to see the team's origin:
Project name — the project it was added in.
Added By — who added it.
Created At — the date & time.
A note: "Team was added in project (details above), as a result this team is shown here."
Step 1: Use the sample file to prepare your data in the correct format.
Step 2: Fill the required fields as per the guidelines.
Step 3: Upload your completed `.csv` file using the Select File button.
Team Name
Team Type
User Name
Unique Email Address
Unique Mobile Number
File extension MUST be `.csv`.
Team Type must be in CAPITAL letters (e.g. CONTRACTOR, CLIENT) — match the drop-down values.
Mobile number must include the country code without the "+" sign (e.g. 91XXXXXXXXXX).
Email address must be valid (e.g. [email protected]).
Do not leave an empty row in between, or any empty cell — except Description, which is optional.
Do not edit the header (first) row of the template.
Do not repeat a row (it creates a duplicate), and don't add any extra column.
Use + Add to create one team and its users; use Import (CSV) to add many teams and users at once.
No — when adding a team user manually, the email ID is non-mandatory.
What kind of party the team is — CONTRACTOR, CLIENT, CONSULTANT, VENDOR, etc. Pick it from the drop-down; in the CSV it must be in CAPITAL letters.
It marks a project-based team — one that was added inside a project. Hover over it to see the project name, who added it, when, and a note explaining it's shown here because it was added in that project.
Yes — a Project Admin can add the team/user inside their project when it isn't at org level yet. It then appears at organisation level automatically. This removes the dependency on the System Admin, so no work is stopped.
Make sure it's a `.csv` file, Team Type is in capitals, the mobile has a country code without "+", emails are valid, there are no empty rows/cells (except Description), the header row is unchanged, and there are no duplicate rows or extra columns.
Setup → Teams: + Add (left) to create a team, then + Add (right) to add its users — email is non-mandatory when adding a user here.
A team has a Name and a Type / Scope (CONTRACTOR, CLIENT, etc.); a user can be in multiple teams.
Import uses the `team-user-csv-sample` — one row per team-user.
A project-based team symbol marks teams added inside a project; hover for the project, who added it and when. A Project Admin adding a team in a project makes it appear at org level too — removing the System-Admin dependency so no work is stopped.
CSV: `.csv` only, Team Type in CAPITALS, mobile with country code, no "+", valid emails, no blank rows/cells (except Description), don't touch the header, no duplicates or extra columns.
