A paused EQC is an inspection you started but stepped away from — you were mid-way through a checklist stage and had other work, or needed to pause for a minor correction, so you tapped Back and it moved to the Paused tab. If you no longer need a paused EQC (started by mistake or not required), you can discard it.
Open the Inspect module (Inspection tab) on the mobile app and switch to the Paused tab.
Find the EQC you want to discard and tap the down arrow (▾) at the top-right corner of its card.
The Discard button appears — tap Discard.
Confirm by tapping Yes.
An inspection that was started but not finished. While inspecting a checklist stage, if the inspector has other work in between or needs to pause for a minor correction, they tap Back and the EQC is paused — it waits in the Paused tab until it's resumed or discarded.
While inspecting, tap Back. You're asked to add a reason — Process Requirement, Improvement, or Other. If you choose Other, you can type your own reason. The EQC then moves to the Paused tab.
When a paused EQC is no longer needed — it was started in error or is no longer required.
It depends on its stages:
If the EQC's checklist has a subsequent stage, it moves back to the Available tab.
If it has no further stages, or was started for the first time, the EQC is removed permanently.
No. If it had no further stages or was started for the first time, discarding removes it permanently — it cannot be recovered.
A paused EQC is an in-progress inspection the user stepped away from (tapped Back).
Pausing needs a reason — Process Requirement, Improvement, or Other (Other lets you type your own).
To discard, use the down arrow (▾) at the top-right of the card → Discard → Yes.
An EQC with a further stage returns to Available; a first/only-stage EQC is removed permanently and can't be undone.
