2.3.2 How to raise an issue?

Raise an Instruction from the mobile app — images (optional), type (Quality/Safety/Material/Others), tags, deadline, recommendation — and assign to your team or another. Assigned user only responds; the raiser's team closes.

Overview

Raise an issue (Instruction) from the mobile app to report a site problem — quality, safety, material or other — with optional photos, tags and a recommendation — then assign it to whoever should resolve it, in your own team or another team.

🧭 How to use

  1. Open the Instructions tab and select the project.

  2. Tap + Add.

  3. Add images (optional) — attach one or many via Add Images; an issue can also be raised without images. Tap Next.

  4. Fill in the details:

- Location. - Type of issue — Quality, Safety, Material, or Others. (For a custom type, tap Other, type your category, and tap Create.) - Tags (optional) — select existing tags or create new ones (up to 2). - Issue description. - Deadline. - Recommendation (optional) — suggest a solution for faster resolution.

  1. Assign the issue:

- Project Team User — pick the responsible person, in your own team or another team, or - Phone Contact — if they aren't a project user, choose from your phone contacts. The issue is still raised, but that person stays unassigned until they're mapped into a team later.

  1. Tap Continue → Raise.

👥 Who responds & who closes

The assigned user always only responds — they can never accept, reject or close. Who closes depends on the teams:

  • If the raising user and the assigned user are in the same team — the assigned user still can't close, but other members of that team can accept and close the issue.

  • If the assigned user is in a different team — that assigned team can only respond; the raising team does the accept / reject / close.

❓ FAQ

1. Can I raise an issue to my own team?

Yes — assign it to a teammate (or to another team).

2. Who can close or accept the issue?

The assigned user never can. If the assigned user is in the same team as the raiser, another member of that team accepts/closes. If it's assigned to a different team, that team only responds, and the raising team closes.

3. Can the assigned user close their own issue?

No — they can only respond. A teammate (same team) or the raising team (different team) does the accept / reject / close.

4. Can I raise an issue without a photo?

Yes — photos are optional (one, many, or none).

5. What issue types are there?

Quality, Safety, Material, and Others — tap Other, enter your own type, and tap Create.

How many tags can I add?

Any number of existing tags, plus up to 2 new ones.

The person isn't a project user — how do I assign them?

Use Phone Contact. The issue is raised, but they stay unassigned until mapped into a team.

Does a photo make the response mandatory?

Yes — if you raise with a photo, the assigned user must add a photo when responding (see Issue Handling Cases).
