When a stage has an approver, you can set the approval type at every approval level — On Site or Remote. This controls where the approver is allowed to give their approval.
Approval can be given from the mobile app only.
The approver must be inside the project radius (geofence) to approve.
Use it when you want the approver physically present on site to sign off.
Approval can be given from both web and mobile.
The approver can be anywhere — there's no location requirement.
Use it when the approver reviews off site (e.g. a manager or client).
The approval type is set per level, on any stage that has an approver (up to 3 levels).
You can set it while configuring the stage, or in bulk across checklists (see 2.5.14).
Can different levels have different types? Yes — you can set On Site or Remote at each level (up to 3).
What is the "project radius"? It's the project's geofence — the allowed area around the site, set in the project settings (2.5.8).
On Site enforces presence — mobile + inside the radius.
Remote is flexible — web or mobile, from anywhere.
Set per approval level, up to 3 levels.
