Nomenclature in digiQC is a standard way of naming and structuring locations on a project. Instead of everyone typing location names differently, the project sets up a fixed location hierarchy (zones and sub-zones) that everyone picks from.
A location is made of two parts:
The predefined part — you pick it from the project's Nomenclature (e.g. Tower A → Floor 3 → Flat 302).
The variable part — a short free-text bit you add on site (e.g. a grid or member reference).
Consistency — every inspection, issue and register entry is named the same way.
Traceability — you can filter and analyse quality by location.
No confusion — no two people name the same place differently.
Nomenclature is set up per project by the System Admin or Project Admin (web app).
It's used across Inspect, Issue and Register.
